About the Artist
Hello! I am Miyo, a self-taught artist from Singapore, who have made Richmond, London, United Kingdom, my home for the past few years.
My art is driven by the passion for my neighbourhood, my love for the community and my desires and visions in life.
Living abroad where cultural differences have been huge, I slowly found my belonging, connections, community and style through my art.
My Art Style
My paintings often incorporate storytelling. I like to depict human characters, their beloved dogs and everyday moments to evoke emotion, offering small glimpses into my feelings and the memories I hold close.
Capturing memories is meaningful to me. As someone who feels deeply, I often reflect on the precious moments that shape our lives and surroundings. In a digital world where photographs capture almost everything, I find comfort in returning to paper, creating pieces that can be felt, held, and experienced in a more intimate and tangible way.
My Art Collectors/Clients
My art collectors/clients have been private individuals who loves my art style. I work with only a selective few per year for commissions on works that I am also passionate on. I love challenges as much as strengthening my current skills on subject matter that I have been working on.
